About School of Movies

We are Alex and Sharon Shaw. We live in Lincolnshire, England with our child Willow.  Alex has been podcasting since 2007, and since 2014 Sharon joined in as a permanent co-host.

Every week we dive deep on a movie (or sometimes a TV show or video game). Our remit is to get all of us thinking about our entertainment in ways we haven't before. On our show we would far rather introduce you to something that brings us joy than tear down something people love (though spanking the pants off a ridiculous or wrongheaded movie can also be a ton of fun and sometimes pretty fascinating).

You can find three separate feeds on iTunes or anywhere else podcasts are found. We divided it up because after more than ten years our back catalogue became too enormous and chaotic to comfortably navigate, especially for newcomers.
